Mother Goose

June 13th, 2011

A Mother Goose feeds her baby chick on a pier on Lake Union Seattle, WA. She had made her nest in a coil of rope at the end of the pier on the north shore of the lake.
I was on an assignment at the waters edge and watched her feeding her chicks before they jumped into the water and paddled off. Another sign of Spring here in the Pacific Northwest.

    Hi Daniel,

I actually arrived here after following your profile link at Matt Cutts blog… and, I’m glad I did. I’ve always been a fan of wonderful moments captured & shared – like you “Mother Goose” above.

We’re a big fan of ducks here in Central Florida and have more than a dozen varieties swimming in our back yard pond every day… and, it just so happens that this is a busy time of the year for breeding ducks.

Can you imagine, we actually had one mother caring for 18 baby ducks “at one time!”. Now, that’s a real Mother Goose story.
